For Valentines Day
With Valentines day just around the corner, it seems fitting to be kind of lovey-dovey with the hubby. I admit that there has been lots of fights, lots of uncertainty, and lots of tears along the way in our nearly six years together, but I don't think id trade any second of it. (However, if you catch me on a bad day, I might tell you otherwise. But what better way to get in the "season" of love than to be told by the hubby that he is going to make you fall in love with him all over again? And for those of you who know my husband, you may be having trouble because you didnt know these words were in his vocabulary.
In 4 days, it will be 5 years to the day since he dropped down on one knee and changed my life for the better. We may not be perfect, or always agree, but I am glad that we have gone down this path together.

A new year...why not a new me?
So, we are finally a few weeks into 2012...And I am seriously slacking on the blogs here. I have a few funny stories that I will probably write about in a few upcoming blogs.
T has been moved up in his class at daycare, and it has been a struggle. He knows a lot of the kids in his new room, but is still having "adjustment" issues...That's what happens when you are in a room for over a year with a lot of the same kids. However, the mornings are the toughest. He always starts it out with "Mommy, I want my friends," and it breaks my heart! We did have a better morning today, though, and I am very thankful for that. What's funny is that when I come pick him up, he isn't ready to go home yet! So, that's a good sign.
I decided to get "me" under control again. So, I decided to take the semester off, get a new perspective, and make time for me. So, what better way to do that then start working out and watching what I eat? I have a good friend who just opened up a gym...And it isn't your normal run of the mill gym. This one is just you and a trainer in an empty gym all to yourself..No worrying about if you look like a moron, ladies! We can make sure we are doing everything correctly AND even look like an idiot for no one else to see. I love it. And, on the days that I'm not there, I am working out on my lunch hour. When we moved office buildings, we decided to use one of the downstairs spaces as a workout room. There isn't much down there, but there is enough to say I should have started a while ago!
Since the first of January, I've lost 4 pounds. Not sure if I have lost any inches...We just measured those today (and I wish I had kept my eyes closed and that they could be locked in a file cabinet where not one single person saw them!) I have found a GREAT website/application to use, too---myfitnesspal.com . It is amazing!
I can keep track of my food (and putting it on paper has made a huge change), help encourage friends, and keep track of my workouts (although the calorie burning is not correct). So, hopefully over the next few months, I will be able to see even more of a difference, and who knows, maybe even get more self confidence!!!
